Frame Guide

Not sure which frame size or shape will suit you best? Here's a simple guide to help you pick the right pair, every time.

Know your face shape

Round face: Go for angular frames like rectangle or square they add definition.

Square face: Round or oval frames soften strong jawlines nicely.

Oval face: Lucky you almost every frame shape suits an oval face.

Heart-shaped face: Try cat-eye or rimless frames to balance a wider forehead.

Long face: Wider frames with more depth (like wayfarers) help shorten the look of the face.

Understand frame measurements

Every pair of glasses has three key numbers, usually printed on the inside of the arm (temple), written like 52-21-145:

Lens width (e.g. 52mm): How wide each lens is; this is what people usually mean by frame “size.”

Bridge width (e.g. 21mm): The gap between the two lenses, which sits on your nose.

Arm length (e.g. 145mm): The length of the temple, from hinge to tip, which goes over your ear.

If you already own a pair that fits you well, check the inside of the arm or the nose pad you'll find these numbers there. Use them as a reference when picking a new frame on our site.

Quick size reference

• Narrow/petite face: Look for lens width around 40–48 mm.

• Average face: 49–52 mm lens width usually works well.

• Wider / oversized look: 53–58mm lens width.

Choosing frame material

Metal frames: Lightweight, easy to adjust at the nose pads, great for a sleek look.

Acetate (plastic) frames: Sturdy, comes in bold colours and patterns, but harder to adjust at home.

Rimless / half-rim: Very light on the face, great for a minimal, subtle look.

A few more tips

If you wear glasses all day, prioritize comfort; the frame shouldn't press on your temples or slide down your nose.

For sunglasses, always check for 100% UV protection (UV400) regardless of the frame style you choose.
